Latrobe Anesthesia Associates hired Dr. H. Elizabeth Balliet and Dr. Mark Storey . Balliet has more than 15 years' experience as an anesthesiologist and most recently was on staff at Allegheny General and Western Pennsylvania hospitals. Storey, who joined the staff at UPMC-Shadyside and later served as an assistant professor of anesthesiology for the University of Pittsburgh Medical School, came to Latrobe Area Hospital part-time in 1998. He spent the last three years at Somerset Hospital.
Manufacturing
Swindell Dressler International Co. of Pittsburgh named Richard W. Perryman general manager of its PiTTek division, which manufactures and installs pollution control and related equipment for the metals, ceramic and automotive industries. Perryman will handle the marketing of pollution control systems for rolling mills and the metals industry.
Banking/finance
Yanni Partners Inc. hired Ilya Zusman as an investment consulting analyst and promoted Patrick Fisher to consultant. Zusman served as a portfolio analyst at Coury Financial Group. Before that, he was a portfolio performance analyst at Russell/Mellon Analytical Services Inc. Zusman is a University of Pittsburgh graduate, where he earned bachelor's degrees in economics and physics. Fisher came to Yanni from Horix Manufacturing Co. Inc. of Pittsburgh, where he was assistant accounting manager. Before that, he was cash manager for global securities services at Mellon Bank Corp. in Pittsburgh.
Accounting
Parente Randolph hired Kelley G. Owen as a tax manager in the Pittsburgh office's corporate department. Before joining Parente Randolph, Owen was a senior tax manager in Ernst & Young's financial services industry practice group. She earned a bachelor's degree in accounting and a law degree, both from Duquesne University, after which she was an adjunct professor at the school.
Alpern Rosenthal hired Stacey L. Yablonski and Tracy L. List as staff accountants in the accounting and auditing department. Alpern Rosenthal Financial Services hired Nicole Cosnotti as a sales assistant, and the company's internal accounting department hired Marian G. Engel as internal accounting manager. Yablonski received an accounting degree from Robert Morris University. List received a bachelor's degree from the University of Pittsburgh and an accounting certificate from Duquesne University. Cosnotti holds a bachelor's degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and Engel has more than 19 years' professional experience.

DKW Law Group hired in its Pittsburgh office Ray C. Stoner and Mary Lynch Friedline as members and Dana L. Ward and Rosalie Woolshlager as associates, all in the litigation practice group.
Shannon Huygens Paliotta joined the Pittsburgh office of McGuireWoods as an associate in the commercial litigation department. She received bachelor's and law degrees from the University of Pittsburgh.
Bruce Bowden , a partner in the Pittsburgh office of Duane Morris, was named chairman of Legalink, an international network of independent business law firms. Bowden, elected to a two-year term, succeeds Graeme Jump of Mace & Jones of Manchester, United Kingdom.
Blumling & Gusky hired as associates Jeffrey P. Brahan in the construction and surety industry practice group and Matt Fearing in the real estate practice group. Both most recently worked at other Pittsburgh law firms, where Brahan dealt with commercial and construction litigation and Fearing handled real estate acquisitions/dispositions and organizational structures.
James R. Fenchel II , a partner in the law offices of Arthur Baker in Pittsburgh, opened a law practice in Chippewa Township. Fenchel is a Washington & Jefferson College and University of Pittsburgh School of Law graduate.
Cami L. Davis joined Rothman Gordon as an associate. Davis, who is a Dickinson College and University of Pittsburgh School of Law graduate, handles labor and employment law and employment law litigation matters.

Mecco Marking and Traceability promoted Todd Hockenberry to vice president of sales and marketing and Dave Abbondanzio to vice president of engineering. Hockenberry holds a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. Abbondanzio is a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Rochester, N.Y.

Maureen G. Ford was recently elected to a two-year term on the board of directors of the National Association of Foreign-Trade Zones in Washington. Ford is an Indiana University of Pennsylvania graduate who has worked for the Regional Industrial Development Corp. of Southwestern Pennsylvania for 15 years, the past six as FTZ manager.
