Laurel: To the Connellsville Garden Club's Geranium Festival. Crawford Avenue was crowded last Saturday with entertainment, people and beautiful flowers. Thanks for keeping a tradition alive in the city.
Laurel: To Fay-West veterans. This year's local Memorial Day observances were beautiful. We thank our veterans for allowing us to show them our thanks. The parades and services were moving. We only wish more of the public would have taken the opportunity to line the streets in support.
Community support : We urge residents to visit the small borough of Dawson this week. It's their annual homecoming celebration. There will be entertainment, food and fun. All of us in the Fay-West area should support community events such as these. It demonstrates our community spirit.
