Lewandowski sinks 16 in Polish Club victory

Dean Lewandowski nailed 16 points as the Polish Club edged the Connellsville Police Auxiliary, 26-25, in the Junior High Boys Division of the St. Rita's Youth Basketball League. Jonathan Luczka tallied six points for the winners, while Josh Calhoun and Ryan Gradischek each scored two.

Danny Welsh and Robbie Harry each netted eight points for the Connellsville Police Auxiliary, with Jake Swink putting in five. Matthew Huey and Jeffrey Steele both tapped in two.

SC 25, Delmar 20

Zack Bell sank 15 points to propel the Slovak Club to victory. Joe Piefer scored eight, and Rick Swank added two.

Patrick Williams paced Michael Delmar CPA with 12 points, while Josh Nicholson and Corey Leonard each scored three. Seth Weible tapped in two points.

Girls
WSJ 27, IIC 18

Elise Michaux scored nine points, and Lindsey O'Donnell added seven, as West Side Jewelry picked up a win. Rae Ann Basinger was next with six points, followed by Rebecca McGee and Amanda Halfhill with two points apiece. Megan Parsons put in one.

Abbey Way led the Italian Independent Club with nine points, and Gabrielle Carbonara checked in with four. Elizabeth Bell and Miranda Stevenson each had two, and Sarah Hann helped out with one point.

Faris 33, Brooks 25

Nine points from Brittany Piper and seven from Katy Pizzola helped Faris Distributing secure a win. Kaitlin Fagan scored five for the team, while Elizabeth Sunseri and Monica Faris each had four. Caitlin Salon and Kristina Ruffner tallied two apiece.

Rachel Means paced Brooks with 13 points, followed by Vanessa Abel with eight. Emily Stout and Marion Laurion scored two points each.

Boys
CB Club 21, SOI 14

Andrew Martin tossed in six points, and Alex Fogle contributed five as the 3-13 CB Radio Club got a win. Edward Spotts and Corey Spaw netted four each, and Timmy Nicholson scored two.

Jeremy Molinaro chalked up eight points for the Sons of Italy #454. Tommy Hann scored four, and Brian Morris added two points.
