The Weather Channel Tuesday announced author and comedian Lewis Black will be its first guest for the new "Celebrity Weather."

Black's segments will start to air shortly after midnight Thursday on "Evening Edition with Dave Schwartz" and be sprinkled throughout the weekend programming, The Weather Channel said in a news release.

Black will deliver weather forecasts and weigh in on topics such as airport delays and global warming.

Black regularly performs sold-out shows nationwide and is a regular in Comedy Central's "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart."
