The Laurel Highlands football team played a strong first half against West Allegheny. Unfortunately, that was all the longer the game lasted as the game was stopped due to inclement weather and West Allegheny walked away with a 7-0 victory at home.
Greg Marshall scored in the second quarter on a one-yard run. Joe Shielbs added the extra point.
Josh Shelton led the way with 97 yards on 14 carries.
Laurel Highlands' Eric Yauger rushed for 23 yards on eight carries. Jared Jodon passed for 67 yards while completing seven passes and throwing three interceptions. Kaleb Ramsey caught a pass for 23 yards.
The Mustangs (0-1) will travel to Ringgold on Friday.

Ashley Sullenberger shot a 56 for Southmoreland, but the Lady Scotties lost to Kittanning. Southmoreland falls to 0-2 and will play at Woodland Hills on Monday.
