If wine and spirits are on your Christmas shopping list, you could have your gifts shipped for free under a promotion by the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board.

Online orders from the state store website over $300 that are placed by Monday qualify for free shipping to the buyer's home or the doorstep of the recipient. All orders placed by 3 p.m. on Monday are guaranteed to arrive by Christmas Day, the board said.

Recipients must show a valid ID and sign for the package upon delivery to ensure those who receive the items are over age 21.

This is the first holiday that Pennsylvanians can have products shipped directly to their homes. The LCB quietly started allowing customers to have items shipped directly to their homes instead of picking them up at their nearest state store late last month.

For more information or to order wine and spirits, visit www.FineWineAndGoodSpirits.com. Personal shoppers are available to offer advice by phone or live chat Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
