Equitable Gas Co. unveiled a new blue and green logo with a natural gas flame inside the letter “q,” and a new tagline, “reliable by nature.”

Customers will see the logo on bills and other correspondence and on company trucks. Equitable, a gas utility serving 270,000 local customers, is headquartered on the North Shore and is part of EQT Corp. The 120-year-old company used a gas flame in its logo years ago.
