Ethnic Pakistani relatives of one of the four London bombing suspects said they now fear for their future in their Leeds neighborhood.

Police believe Shahzad Tanweer, 22, was one of the bombers at the Aldgate Underground station last Thursday where seven people were killed. Documents belonging to Tanweer were found in the debris.

His uncle, Bashir Ahmed told CNN he couldn't fathom what would have motivated his British-born nephew to commit an act of terror.

"What drove him to it, who pushed him to it, I don't know," Ahmed said. "I wish I could find out."

He said he expected a loss of family standing in the community.

"We've had a pleasant time here, but I don't think we can survive here much longer like this," Ahmed said. "We were respected by the community. How is the community going to treat us now?"

A family friend, Irshad Hussein, said Tanweer had become more religious in recent years and dropped out of university to go to Pakistan for religious studies at the end of 2004.
