Lonestar — the Texas-bred foursome with more than a decade of hits — will headline this year’s Annual Free Dollar Bank Jamboree, a Downtown summer country concert.
The concert – scheduled for Aug. 27 at Point State Park – also includes performances by country singers Dierks Bentley, Julie Roberts and local bands PovertyNeck Hillbillies and Corbin/Hanner. The Jamboree – which celebrates Dollar Bank’s 150th anniversary this year — includes the Three Rivers Fishing Classic and many children’s activities.
Lonestar’s last album — “Let’s Be Us Again,” released one year ago – has produced four singles, including the current hit, “Class Reunion (That Used To be Us).” The other three hits from the past year are “Mr. Mom,” “Let Them Be Little” and the title track from “Let’s Be Us Again.” The band now is working on a new album, which is set for a fall release.
Previous albums include the triple-platinum “Lonely Grill” — which includes the crossover megahit “Amazed” — “I’m Already There” and “From There to Here: Greatest Hits.”
