Madonna recently told a group of youngsters in New York City that money doesn't buy happiness. The Material Girl's disdain for money was explained during the launch of her latest children's book, "Lotsa de Casha," in New York's Bergdorf Goodman department store, Hellomagazine.com reported Thursday. "Lotsa was by far the richest man in the country -- he had everything money could buy," she read to the youthful audience. "But there was a teeny, tiny problem. No matter how much money Lotsa de Casha made, he wasn't happy." In another message, Madonna told assembled reporters she was inspired to write the book by her study of the faith of Kabbalah. She said all profits from the book would go to good causes. © Copyright 2005 by United Press International
