A Greensburg man accused of stealing women's identities and entering a Greensburg Salem girls' locker room dressed as a woman will undergo a mental health evaluation before he faces a criminal hearing. A preliminary hearing for 48-year-old Kelly Dawn Hullenbaugh, also known as Robert Domasky, was postponed from Thursday until Nov. 18 to allow for the evaluation, District Justice James Albert of Greensburg said yesterday after granting a continuance. Greensburg police initially charged Hullenbaugh, of 213 E. Otterman St., Apt. B, on Sept. 3 with trespassing, identity theft and giving officers a false identification. He was arrested after he allegedly went into the girls locker room at Greensburg Salem High School, purportedly to have the cheerleaders' coach teach him cheers. Two weeks ago, Greensburg Patrolman John Swank filed 13 additional charges against Hullenbaugh, accusing him of stalking, forgery, tampering with public records, identity theft, manufacturing false identification and criminal use of a communication facility. Hullenbaugh could face additional charges, depending upon what police find stored in Hullenbaugh's computer, which they seized after he was arrested. Greensburg Patrolman Robert Jones, the department's representative on the state police computer crime task force, will conduct a forensic search of the computer's hard drive, Swank said. Swank said the postponement will give him more time to review evidence police removed from Hullenbaugh's photo collection. Police said they packed the evidence in 32 boxes. The suspect, a cross-dresser, was arrested under the name of Hullenbaugh, but Swank said police have not found records of Domasky's having changed his name. Swank said court records show that, in 1997, Domasky used the name of Debbie M. Anderson of Foster Street, Southwest Greensburg. He then changed his name to Kelly Dawn Stein. After taking on that new identity, Hullenbaugh was pictured as a woman on his Pennsylvania driver's license and his passport. He also had Social Security cards issued in Hullenbaugh's name. It was under the name of Debbie Michelle Anderson that he was arrested about seven years ago on accusations he was stalking Kelly Stein Hullenbaugh, a Greensburg beautician whose identity he had assumed. In March 2000, Judge John Blahovec issued an order for him to stop using the name of Kelly Stein, whose married name was Kelly Stein Hullenbaugh. In February 1998, records in the Westmoreland County Prothonotary's Office show that Debbie Anderson was ordered to undergo involuntary treatment for mental health purposes. The records, although sealed, indicate that the defendant also was known as Domasky, Kelly Dawn Stein and Kelly Stein. The real Stein declined to comment. Her attorney, Timothy Kinney of Greensburg, said that she has been frightened by the suspect's actions. Police said the incidents began about a dozen years ago and include Hullenbaugh's having her photo and name tattooed on his body. "She wants the maximum protection she can get," Kinney said. Kinney said they are in the process of determining the extent of Domasky's alleged activity while posing as Kelly Dawn Hullenbaugh. Greensburg Salem High School Principal Lisa Mason said the girls' volleyball team was practicing in the gymnasium on the night the suspect is accused of entering the girls' locker room. The only doors left open were near the gymnasium and fitness center, and custodians remained in that area, as they are directed to do during evening events, Mason said. Mason said the suspect had just walked into the building and was spotted by a female custodian, who gave chase. The custodians alerted police, leading to the suspect's arrest that evening at his apartment. Hullenbaugh remains in the Westmoreland County Prison in lieu of $150,000 bond.
