Pittsburgh police are trying to learn who fatally shot a Homewood man Sunday morning, reportedly after the man was kept from entering a neighborhood bar. Officers said they found John Allen, 22, lying in the doorway of Mac Can Do's Bar at 1:30 a.m., after responding to a call. Allen was unresponsive, and was pronounced dead shortly afterward at UPMC Presbyterian hospital. Police detectives said they learned that Allen had tried to enter the bar but apparently was banned. An argument started at the entrance, Allen was shot by someone, police said, and many of the patrons fled. Homicide detectives are asking anyone who was at the bar and may have witnessed the shooting to call 412-323-7161.
