Man's body found at Harmar campsite near railroad tracks

Foul play is not suspected in the death of a middle-aged man whose body was found Thursday in a sleeping bag between the Norfolk Southern railroad tracks and the Allegheny River in Harmar, township police Capt. Rick Toney said.

The crew of a passing train spotted the body about 4:20 p.m. and stopped to investigate, Toney said. The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office is trying to identify the man and determine how he died.

The man had a small camp set up at the site, Toney said, with evidence of a fire and some possessions.
