Marine Sgt. Harry George Johnson Jr.

Currently serving: 26th Military Expeditionary Unit, Iraq

Family: Wife, Twila Johnson, and children, Brandon, Shelley, and twins, Laura and Lauren Johnson, Camp Lejeune, N.C.; parents, Harry Sr. and Judee Johnson, Plum; sisters, Mary and Dawn Johnson; stepsisters, Amy Lent, Bethann Smith and Sara Girard.

The Johnson file: A 1996 graduate of Plum High School, he graduated from basic training with sharpshooter honors and was assigned to Camp Lejeune, N.C. His training included: communication and intelligence at Camp Lejeune; desert skills at Twenty-Nine Palms, Calif.; mountain skills at Bridgeport, Calif.; and Dynamic Mix in Greece. Johnson, 26, who was promoted to the rank of sergeant within three years, was deployed in February aboard the aircraft carrier Iwo-Jima.
