Materials Research appoints new executive director

Todd Osman has been appointed the new executive director of the Materials Research Society, effective Sept. 1, succeeding retiring 25-year society veteran John Ballance.

Osman was instrumental in creating The Pennsylvania NanoMaterials Commercialization Center and was technical director for the Minerals, Metals and Materials Society.

Prior to that, Osman was a researcher and technical manager at United States Steel Corp.
