Remember “Baghdad Bob,” Saddam Hussein’s spokesman during the Gulf War? He pontificated how Iraq was winning the war while United State troops were kicking butt.

We have our own version of Baghdad Bob disguised as the Secretary of Veterans Affairs Bob McDonald. In your recent editorial “Mickey Mouse boss: The VA’s Robert McDonald must go” , you aptly bestowed on McDonald the correct title. How could anyone be so out of touch by comparing waiting in line at Disney World to waiting for medical care at the VA?

I suspect that Baghdad Bob McDonald surrounds himself with sycophants who never give him bad news and never tell him what is actually happening with VA medical care. Maybe he should get out of his “Inside the Beltway” ivory tower and actually talk to us veterans without being surrounded by his sycophants.
