McKeesport 19-year-old gunned down early Monday

Allegheny County police are investigating a fatal shooting in McKeesport early Monday.

Homicide detectives said Travis Rhone, 19, of McKeesport was walking with a friend in the 1400 block of Versailles Avenue about 1:50 a.m. when a group of men fired at them.

Rhone was struck in the back. He died at UPMC Presbyterian in Oakland about 3:30 a.m., the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office said.

Police recovered a gun near the scene of the shooting and interviewed witnesses and persons of interest. No arrests have been made.
