Here are some of the latest outrageous, sometimes humorous, quotes from the liberal media, courtesy of the Media Research Center:

  • Sliding one in: "Fiscally, (President Bush) is a Reagan Republican — big tax cuts tilted toward the rich — and if that means deficit spending, so what• He's pro-business, wants oil drilling in Alaska and offshore, would let coal plants pollute the air more."

    — CNN's Bruce Morton on "Inside Politics."

  • Reinvented "moderate" : (H)e has … built a reputation for moderate political views."

    — Time.com's Jessica Reaves on Democrat U.S. Sen. John Edwards, the same North Carolina Democrat given a 95 percent approvalrating by the liberal Americans for Democratic Action.

  • Pig at the trough: "I strongly believe in fiscal discipline."

    — Sen. Edwards, interviewed by NBC's Andrea Mitchell, the same senator given an "F" and the "Big Spender" tag by the National Taxpayers Union for his 2001 votes on fiscal issues.
