Meet your bartender
If you’re looking for a bartending job, try one at a restaurant, advises Amber Knable , 31, of Ross. Knable has been bartending for about four years, most recently at Nakama Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar for the past year. She says the tips are better than at bars, and you generally don’t have to worry about throwing drunks out.
What’s it like working on the South Side⢠In this location, it’s good. I don’t think I’d like to work any other place.
There’s been a lot of talk about there being too many bars on the South Side. What do you think⢠I would say it’s not a good thing. People get a little crazy.
Is there a drink you particularly like making⢠Yes. It’s like my drink. I call it grape soda. I just started throwing stuff together. It’s purple, and it’s good.
Ever been to Japan⢠No, but I love the food. And I’d like to go there some day.
What’s your dream job⢠Nursing. Totally different from what this is. I’ve always liked taking care of people. Additional Information:
