Miami police are baffled whether a call reporting a handcuffed bleeding woman on a seawall was a hoax since no body has been found.

An anonymous call was made before sunrise Monday. Officers found a large amount of blood on a portion of the wall, but no body, Police Lt. William Schwartz told the Miami Herald.

Marine and diving units were called and a grid search for the a body began in the water, extending 200-feet in each direction from where the blood was found.

However, by Thursday, there were no further clues, the newspaper said.

The homeless population of the shoreline Bicentennial Park were questioned, and no one saw anything, and all the female transients were accounted for.

Schwartz said detectives were scouring reports of a missing female.
