U.S. actor Michael McDonald, who plays Kirstie Alley's agent in cable's Showtime series "Fat Actress" has purchased a new Hollywood home.

McDonald, who has completed his seventh season on Fox's "Mad TV," purchased a Hollywood Hills home for nearly $2 million and sold his former two-bedroom home for about $1 million, the Los Angeles Times reported Saturday.

McDonald's new tri-level three-bedroom, three-bathroom villa with canyon views and pool has a master bedroom suite with a sitting room, balcony and spa tub for two.

Perhaps best known for his character Stuart on "Mad TV," McDonald has had a recurring role on NBC's "Scrubs," and appeared on "Seinfeld," "Ellen," "NewsRadio," "Just Shoot Me!" and in all three Austin Powers movies.
