Sources close to Australian pop star Kylie Minogue's family Saturday denied a tabloid report that she has been declared cancer-free.

Minogue, 38, has returned to Melbourne from Paris, where she had been undergoing treatment for breast cancer, the Melbourne Herald Sun reported.

The newspaper Saturday quoted sources close to the family debunking a widely quoted article in Thursday's London Sun saying Minogue's doctors have declared her free of cancer.

Medical sources also told the Herald Sun it was impossible to get the all-clear from cancer so quickly after ending treatment.

Minogue underwent a partial mastectomy in Melbourne after her May 2005 diagnosis. She has been undergoing chemotherapy since then in Paris, where her boyfriend Oliver Martinez resides.

The star has not commented on her medical condition since October 2005, the Herald Sun said.
