Misleading media II?

Once again, liberal media have revised history.

The Trib's Associated Press wire story " The era of big Clintons is soon over " (May 27 and PghTrib.com) is a classic example.

The article detailed "a few big achievements" of Bill Clinton's administration, including "unsurpassed economic growth, a balanced budget, welfare reform, free trade, a Middle East peace agreement, gun control and more money for police on the street ... ."

These assertions need to be countered by the truth.

• It was a Republican Congress that engineered a modest "economic growth" by reforming welfare (which the Clinton administration fought) and by submitting multiple balanced budgets (which Clinton vetoed at least four times).

• Clinton's Middle East peace agreement was a dismal failure and did nothing to stop Palestinian terror.

• His gun control measures nearly ruined the firearms industry and violated the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens.

• "More money for police on the street" never made a difference, either -- most police departments saw none of it.

It's a travesty that The Associated Press continues to idolize these people. Even more disgusting is the way they lie to accomplish that goal.
