Looks like somebody literally dropped the ball in Georgia's Fantasy 5 lottery drawing last week when one of the 39 numbered balls was left out.

Lottery officials blamed the incident on human error but said all winning tickets from last Friday's drawing will be honored, the Atlanta Journal Constitution said. Officials declined to say what number was omitted, how it was misplaced and how the error was discovered.

The missing ball changed the odds of matching all five numbers from 1 in 575,757 to 1 in 501,942. Unless, of course, one of your numbers was the missing number. No one matched all five numbers drawn.

Unable to hold a second drawing, lottery officials said they plan to hold a "bonus" Fantasy 5 drawing on a date yet to be determined and all Fantasy 5 tickets purchased for the regularly scheduled drawing will be valid for that night's bonus draw as well.
