A Hill District man reported missing yesterday was located early this morning.

Jerome Hawkins, 80, who has Alzheimer's disease, was found shortly before 3 a.m. near the FBI building at South 30th and East Carson streets in the South Side, according to a Pittsburgh police news release. A man noticed him walking down the street and called 911, the release stated.

Hawkins appeared to be tired, confused but unharmed. He told officers he was looking for a street in Indianapolis, according to the police report.

His family reported him missing after he left his home on Sweeney Place about 6:30 last night.

Hawkins was transported to UPMC South Side for a medical evaluation, the release stated.
