U.S. TV network UPN is set to launch a reality series starring Grammy Award-winning singer Missy Elliott and 13 wannabes in search of stardom.

"The Road to Fame with Missy Elliott" will premiere Jan. 5 for 10 episodes in which contestants will join Elliott in her tour bus, living and training together while competing for $100,000 and a record deal, Zap2it.com reported Friday.

Contestants, selected from singers and rappers between 18 and 29, will be judged weekly by Eliott, producer/artist Teena Marie and other music executives.

At the end of the series, Elliott will sign the winner to her label and release a first single.
