The Monroeville Area Chamber of Commerce has moved its headquarters to William Penn Plaza to accommodate its growing membership.
Almost 200 businesses have joined the 700-member organization since 2006, said President Chad Amond.
"We were outgrowing the conference room we had before," Amond said.
Monica Robinson, vice chairwoman of the chamber's board, said the move represents a good opportunity.
"It's a great location, has very good parking, just has a lot of pluses for us," she said.
Amond said the building has handicapped-accessible training and conference space on the first floor, along with Wi-Fi capability.
The suite the chamber will call home is 2,700 square feet, nearly double the size of its Northern Pike location. The organization didn't necessarily need that much room but took the only available suite in the building so the members can use its training center, Amond said.
Member companies that need to conduct periodic training or continuing education classes but don't have the space themselves may use the facility, Amond said.
