Reading the letters section can be quite fascinating. It seems people today are ready to get into angry name-calling with anyone with a differing opinion than theirs, even if it's just about the weather.
I refer to the Sept. 10 letter from Lee Karr of Monroeville calling people living in Florida "morons" for saying hurricanes are no big deal compared to winters in Pittsburgh ("Hurricanes are no fun").
Shouldn't everybody be happy here⢠They hate winter. Lee hates hurricanes. They live down there. Lee lives up here. Why should anyone be upset⢠Lee apparently is just upet because someone downplays the severity of what he/she considers a "DISASTER!!!" People need to "chill out" a bit (so to speak.)
Hmmm.... You're a "moron" if you disagree with Lee on the severity of the weather and an "idiot" if you disagree with Teresa on the Kerry Health Plan (whatever that may be). Is there a connection here?
