Some 70 percent of Christmas gifts sold in Mexico will be of Chinese origin, the Mexican Association of Gift and Decoration Makers said Monday.

Association President Maribel Hernandez said he find it regrettable Mexican producers of Christmas gifts are being outsold this year, with an increasing number of Chinese products sold commercial centers.

However, Hernandez noted sales of Mexican-made goods have increased 40 percent since 2003.
