Joe Hardy, the multimillionaire founder of 84 Lumber, has married a 51-year-old Florida woman.

Hardy, 86, of Farmington, Fayette County, and Rebecca L. Davis of Deerfield Beach, Broward County, Fla., were married Saturday in a private ceremony, according to Jeff Nobers, spokesman for 84 Lumber.

Nobers said the ceremony took place at the Hardy family's Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in Farmington.

Nobers declined additional comment.

Hardy, a former Fayette County commissioner, made headlines in May 2007 when he married a 23-year-old woman, Kristin Georgi, an employee of the resort. Hardy and Georgi filed for divorce fewer than four months after they were married in Las Vegas. Their divorce was finalized in April 2008.

The marriage is the fourth for both Hardy and Davis, according to a marriage license application filed Dec. 4 with the Fayette County Recorder of Deeds Office.

Her last marriage ended in divorce in 1995. On the application, Davis, a native of the state of Indiana, indicated she is unemployed. Hardy listed his occupation as owner of a lumber company.

Hardy is a Mt. Lebanon native whose family owned Hardy & Hayes jewelers. The Air Force veteran graduated from the University of Pittsburgh.

He has five children with his first wife, Dorothy, a high school girlfriend to whom he was married for more than 50 years.

The couple divorced in 1997 and Hardy married his second wife, Debra Maley, who was then a 26-year-old employee of 84 Lumber. They had two daughters before divorcing.
