NBA star Gilliam likely died of natural causes

Former NBA star and Bethel Park standout Armen Gilliam probably died of natural causes while playing basketball Tuesday at L.A. Fitness in Bridgeville, the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office said.

An autopsy found that Gilliam had a "massively enlarged heart" but that his death appeared to be natural, according to the Medical Examiner's Office.

A final cause and manner of death will be determined after toxicology and other lab results.

Gilliam was 47.
