New heating systems offered for needy

TUDI Mechanical Systems of McKees Rocks and Standard Air & Lite of Crafton are seeking a dozen needy families for their 10th Annual Heat for the Needy program.

The two companies will install new heating systems free of charge for those families on Jan. 24.

They are asking the public to nominate needy individuals and families who can't afford a new heating system. Nominations will be accepted until Dec. 5 and should include the nominee's name, address, phone number and current form of heat.

They can be e-mailed to heatfortheneedy@tudi.com , faxed to 412-771-7737 or mailed to TUDI Mechanical Systems, c/o Heat for the Needy, 343 Munson Ave., McKees Rocks, PA 15136.

The program has provided more than 85 heating systems to families.
