Uniontown Meeting set Fayette Friends of Animals, a non-profit organization, will meet in the lounge of Mount Vernon Inn, Uniontown, at 6:30 p.m. March 21. The group plans to expand its membership and to attain sufficient financial support to build a no-kill shelter for Fayette County's abandoned pets. For more information, call Flo Fronczek, acting president, at 434-1422. Harrisburg 4-H week Agriculture Secretary Sam Hayes marks Pennsylvania 4-H week, which continues through today. More than 166,500 rural and urban youth participate in the 4-H clubs throughout Pennsylvania. More than 11,800 volunteer leaders assist 4-H members with their projects. BR> Uniontown Open house Goodwill Industries of Fayette County invites the community to attend an open house from 1 to 3:30 p.m. March 20 at 40-46 Connellsville St., Uniontown. During the open house, individuals may tour the facility, learn about services and programs, observe work production and visit the craft corner. The organization will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2002. Uniontown Meeting reset Fayette County Mental Health/Mental Retardation Advisory Board annual dinner, originally scheduled for June 22, has been rescheduled for June 1.
