Man killed in German Twp.

A Fayette County man died as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in German Township on Sunday.

Chad Andrew Gump, age unavailable, of Footedale Road, New Salem, was traveling west on Footedale-Lambert Road near Tree Farm Road with a group of other motorcyclists at 1:30 p.m. when he lost control of his Honda 929RR.

State police at Uniontown said Gump traveled off the south berm of the road, was thrown from the motorcycle and died at the scene.

Fayette County Coroner Dr. Phillip E. Reilly has not yet released a cause of death.
