Ground breaking
U.S. Rep. John Murtha joined S. Kent Rockwell, chairman and CEO of SenSyTech Inc. in breaking ground today on a new 60,000-square-foot building that will house the company's high-tech electronic systems production.
The building will be constructed in the Fayette Business Park in Georges Township.
"In May, I was honored to welcome SenSyTech to Fayette County with the opening of their test and integration facility at the Connellsville airport with the promise of creating 15 to 30 jobs," Murtha said. "By building this second facility, SenSyTech anticipates the initial creation of 30 jobs with the potential for over 100 jobs by 2004."
SenSyTech is based in Newington, Va., and specializes in manufacturing electronic systems for the defense and intelligence communities. When completed, the test and integration facility will be used in developing the Navy's surface ship torpedo defense program.
