Background: His recent projects include: UPMC West Ambulatory Care Center in Moon Township, The Western Pennsylvania School for Blind Children Early Childhood Center, The Cabaret at Theater Square, and the Metropolitan Shadyside condominiums.

Noteworthy: 2006 President of the Board of Directors of AIA Pittsburgh, the local chapter of the American Institute of Architects. An active member of the organization since 1981, Briney has been on the board of directors for three years and currently serves on the board of regents for the AIA Pittsburgh Foundation for Architecture and on the editorial board of Columns magazine.
