The Oncology Nursing Society, founded in 1975, is a national association of more than 32,000 registered nurses and other health care professionals. Its national headquarters is in Findlay.
Noteworthy: Recipient of the 2005 American Cancer Society's Distinguished Service Award, given in recognition of major achievements in the field of cancer. The award, presented Nov. 17 at the society's annual meeting in Los Angeles, recognized Moore's pioneering work in the field of oncology, including as one of the nation's first oncology clinical nurse specialists.
