Noteworthy: Wheatley has been named president of the Fort Pitt Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, which has owned and operated the Fort Pitt Block House for the last 120 years.

Occupation: Wheatley works as a flight attendant for Delta Air Lines, while also serving as the marketing director for a web design and development company she founded 15 years ago with her husband.

Background: Wheatley became active with the society in 2009 and began serving as its publicity director a year later. Her family has been active in the Daughters of the American Revolution for generations, with 17 of her ancestors fighting in the Revolutionary War.

Education: Wheatley earned a bachelor's degree with honors from Point Park University.
