Background : English, a lieutenant colonel in the Marine Corps Reserves, is a judge advocate. He served active duty in the Marine Corps from 1987-91. English volunteers and serves as lay leader at St. Paul United Methodist Church. He is president of Hampton Rotary Club, treasurer of Hampton Community Association, board member for Hampton Alliance for Educational Excellence, board member for Allegheny County Bar Association's Sole & Small Firm Section and a youth soccer coach.
