Noteworthy: Biegler is the program chairman for the annual American Institute of Chemical Engineers conference to be held in the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, Downtown, Sunday through Nov. 2. As program chairman, Biegler helped set the theme and organize programs for the conference that is expected to draw 5,000 scholars from across the country.

Education: Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, 1977; Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of Wisconsin, 1981.
