Noteworthy: Lemieux recently was elected to the board of the Carnegie Hero Fund Commission, which awards the Carnegie Medal to people across the United States and Canada in recognition of outstanding acts of civilian heroism.

She also chairs Austin's Playroom Project, which builds playrooms for children and families in medical facilities.
