Noteworthy: The Pennsylvania Coalition of Public Charter Schools named Fayfich as its new executive director in August. He has served as the organization's interim executive director since April.

Background: As a corporate executive at Westinghouse, he led worldwide public relations, marketing communications and government affairs efforts and directed internal communications. He formed his own executive coaching business, counseling senior executives and leadership teams in corporations and nonprofit organizations. He has served as chair of the Marshall Township supervisors. He has taught at Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Education and is a graduate of Leadership Pittsburgh. As a volunteer, he taught in two inner-city schools, chaired the board of the Conflict Resolution Center International, served on the board of the charter schools coalition and was co-curator of TEDx Pittsburgh, an offshoot of Leadership Pittsburgh.

Education: He earned his bachelor's degree in business from Waynesburg University and completed graduate work in law at the University of Pittsburgh, finance at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and human resources at the University of Michigan's Graduate School of Business.
