Notable: Guy, director of the North Side Coalition for Fair Housing, is a recipient of this year's Advocacy Award from the Housing Alliance of Pennsylvania. She was chosen, the organization said, because of her efforts to ensure that persons of low-income have access to safe, decent, affordable, accessible homes as well as the best legal representation. The coalition started 12 years ago as a tenant council with an all-volunteer staff. The award will be presented at the housing alliance's annual Homes Within Reach Conference Dec. 9-11 in Harrisburg.
