No foul play in death of woman found in tractor-trailer on Pittsburgh’s North Side
The case of a woman who died shortly after being found unresponsive in a tractor-trailer on the North Side on Friday has been ruled “non-suspicious,” a Pittsburgh public safety spokeswoman said.
Emmy Thacker, 35, of Hamlet, N.C., had been a passenger in the tractor-trailer, Pittsburgh public safety spokeswoman Emily Schaffer said Saturday. Thacker was transported to Allegheny General Hospital after being found unresponsive in the tractor-trailer in a post office parking lot on California Avenue, the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office said.
Thacker was pronounced dead at 1:59 p.m. Friday at the hospital, the Medical Examiner’s Office said.
The emergency call about the woman came in at 1:24 p.m., the office said.
The autopsy on Thacker was completed Saturday but results won’t be available for another eight to 24 weeks, the Medical Examiner’s Office said.
