Gateway star Justin King raised eyebrows by scoring his seventh touchdown in the fourth quarter of a 62-0 victory over Latrobe last Friday. King said the Gators weren't trying to run up the score. They just needed to improve their conditioning.

"Last year, when we got to the playoffs, I was out of shape because I hadn't played in the second half," said King, who only played eight quarters of the first four games this season. "I only had eight touches in the first half. He had to keep me in. It wasn't like we were trying to score. I was just going up the middle."

King, rated the nation's top cornerback by most recruiting services, made an official visit to Michigan over the weekend. After taking visits to Florida this weekend, Southern Cal on Oct. 16 and Penn State on Nov. 6, King expects to announce his decision on Nov. 15.
