• Matthew Lombardi signed a three-year extension with the Calgary Flames on Friday. The 25-year-old forward is coming off a breakout season. He set career highs in goals (20) and assists (26) while playing 81 games this season. The Flames also re-signed forward Marcus Nilson to a two-year deal.. • The NHL's greatest dynasty has reunited. The surviving members of the select group of Montreal Canadiens that won five straight Stanley Cups from 1956-60 -- Jean Beliveau, Henri Richard, Dickie Moore, Tom Johnson, Jean-Guy Talbot and Don Marshall -- will be on hand tonight at Scotiabank Place for a tribute to the team prior to Game 3 of the Stanley Cup finals. • The Carolina Hurricanes re-signed Glen Wesley to a one-year, $1.4 million contract yesterday, bringing back their alternate captain for a 13th season with the franchise. The deal keeps the 38-year-old defenseman with the team he helped lead to the Stanley Cup in 2006. • The Columbus Blue Jackets signed defenseman Mikko Maenpaa to a one-year, two-way NHL-American Hockey League contract, the club said yesterday. Maenpaa, 24, appeared in 142 games in five seasons with the Finnish Elite League. • The Minnesota Wild relinquished their rights to 2004 first-round pick A.J. Thelen yesterday after failing to sign him. The Wild had until yesterday to sign him to a deal or forfeit his rights. The Wild will receive the 42nd overall pick in July's draft as compensation.
