A Robert Morris victory against Northeast Conference foe Monmouth would give the school its first 3-0 conference record under coach Mark Schmidt and the first since the 1999-00 season.

Monmouth has defeated Robert Morris the past five times, eight of the past 10, and is allowing an average of 61.0 points per game this season. Monmouth leads the all-time series, 29-12. Robert Morris is averaging 88.4 points per game, including 92.5 in its first two NEC games. In those two victories, Robert Morris has allowed its opponents to shoot 53.4 percent from the field and is averaging 87.5 points per game. Robert Morris leads the NEC in 3-point field goals per game with 8.82 and is second in 3-point field goal percentage (.398). In the past five games, Robert Morris has made an average of 10.6 3-point baskets. In the lowest-scoring Division I game since the introduction of the 3-point line in the 1986-87 season, Monmouth defeated Princeton, 41-21, on Dec. 14. The previous record for fewest total points was 67. That occurred twice, in 1986-87 in a game between Southern Methodist and Texas-Arlington and in 1989 in a game between Wisconsin-Green Bay and Northern Michigan. Additional Information: Robert Morris (6-5, 2-0) at Monmouth (5-8, 2-0)
