Offender named to Megan's Law list charged again
A former Greensburg resident on the Megan's Law list was charged on Tuesday with having improper contact with two teenage girls last year.
An arrest warrant has been issued for Pellegrino Fiore III, 37, of Jonestown, Lebanon County, on three counts of corruption of minors and one count each of indecent assault and indecent exposure by Greensburg District Judge James Albert.
Greensburg police allege Fiore began a relationship with one teen and improperly touched the other as she slept after a July party at a city home.
One teen told police she began a physical relationship with Fiore — known as “PJ” — last summer when he texted her, according to a police affidavit written by Detective Jerry Vernail.
The teen — then a senior at Greensburg Salem High School and a minor — described the relationship as consisting of two or three encounters in July and August, police said.
She said she last saw Fiore earlier this month in the Greensburg Shopping Center. Fiore had texted her and claimed to be living in Toronto, she told police.
The other teen told police she was sleeping beside another girl after the party, when Fiore reached under her top and rubbed her stomach while he was not wearing pants, police said. The girl said she removed Fiore's hand. Fiore smelled of alcohol, the girl recounted to police.
Fiore was added to the state police Megan's Law list in September 2009 on a charge of attempted unlawful contact or communication with a minor, according to the related website.
Fiore pleaded guilty in June 2009 in Fayette County Court to charges of attempted unlawful contact with a minor, attempted corruption of minors, attempted indecent assault of a person less than 16 years old and attempted statutory sexual assault, according to court records.
He was sentenced to serve up to 23 months on intermediate punishment — 11½ months on house arrest with electronic monitoring — for the attempted unlawful contact with a minor charge.
Intermediate punishment is a form of probation in which a defendant must abide by court-ordered sanctions.
Fiore was one of four men nabbed in a 2007 sting by South Connellsville police. Officers posed as young teens in order to catch Fiore and the other men, who were charged with sexually propositioning them over the Internet.
Fiore was required to comply with the requirements of the DNA Detection of Sexual and Violent Offenders Act and register his address with the state police for 10 years.
He is listed on the Megan's Law website as being non-compliant with reporting requirements.
