Pennsylvania authorities said at least one person died when a school bus flipped onto its side Tuesday, WCAU-TV, Philadelphia, reported.

There were around 30 eighth graders from the Kutztown Area Middle School on the bus, coming home from a field trip, when the vehicle turned over on the lawn of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, police said.

The bus was traveling in a three-bus convoy when the accident happened.

Officials said children were taken into the church before they were taken to area hospitals. Three of the children were injured enough to need treatment.
