"One Tree Hill" stars Sophia Bush and Chad Michael Murray have separated after only five months of marriage.
Bush released a statement through her rep Monday, saying: "This is a difficult and unfortunate situation, I am glad this is being resolved sooner rather than later," "Entertainment Tonight" reported.
Murray also released a statement confirming the split, adding: "This is a very difficult time for me."
The couple met on the WB's "One Tree Hill" where Murray plays jock/intellectual Lucas Scott and Bush plays Student Council President Brooke Davis.
They married April 16 in Santa Monica, Calif.
